    noisy drum = spider-bearing, if it's not direct-drive.
    also if it's not direct-drive 5-8 years is about how long the brushes last on the motor.

      I did, and instead of replying my question they replied I need to contact Whirlpool Argentina. No way I want to enter into such loop.
      Still waiting to find a 60Hz-capable generator to go with the mainboard and front panel to see if it turns just on...

        Get a 60Hz UPS -- one that is capable of powering on in the absence of mains power (not all can do so) -- and use IT to power the unit. Just don't turn on the motor!
