Yeah no that is not what I am using. I soldered the leds to the Star MCPCB board myself both leds and the MCPCB’s were purchased through mouser. The star boards are then attached with some thermal glue to a large heat sink. A fan will be mounted if needed. I am not planning on running these past 80%. Thats said I realized a fan could not hurt it will just lower the temp and in effect cause the leds to last longer. I plan on monitoring temps for the first 24 hours to see high high they get. Probably wire up a quick temp sensor with arduino that will operate fan if need be.
