HP 850 G2 is not in committed state

    Hi,

I bought the mentioned Laptop with message "Machine is not in committed state!"

I have read and watched a lot of manuals, but none of it solved my problem. Maybe because English isn't my native language.

I downloaded NbDmiFit-2.13 and started Wndmifit(64) but I get the message that MPM is not unlocked. I have read that I need a smc.bin file, but because the machine is out of warranty, HP refuses to help.

Is there a way to unlock MPM with any tool and exists therefore a manual that a non-expert is able to understand?

    Regards

    Labt

turn Secure Boot back to "Enabled" in the Secure Boot Options in the BIOS.

              Moin,

              THX for replies.

              @SMDFlea
No, they don't help! All manuals for an unlocked MPM, but my is locked.

              @imranromi
I don't think the BIOS is the problem, I can upgrade and downgrade. Unless you can unlock MPM with a "hacked" BIOS.

The main problem is my locked MPM. Is there anyway a manual to unlock it???

              THX

                  Hi,

first of all THX a lot SMDFlea for constructive help.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I took the other way, from Lock to Unlock.

But possibly I made some mistakes, so I have some questions. Are there any requirements I have to follow that it works??

In which mode must be BIOS (Legacy, Hybrid or Native)?
What is with Secure boot? In my BIOS it's grey and I cannot mark it.
I tried the whole process from hard disk. Should I take a PE from Stick?

                  THX

Yes, try a win PE key.

@Labt it's all about bios. You should have gone with imranromi's advice and post your dump here.

I face this problem many time and the problem is me region you need clean me region without error and MPM cannot solve your problem BCS the mpm inside the bios region...
More hp sites provide bios only bios region not fully bios...
If you need MPM unlock you need post old bios...

                            hello friend
so for your computer its said that machine not in commted state so the Motherboard need to be brand not wndmifit so you need to put your bios on native and boot from uefi usb key after that the computer will show you many choices and you need to commit the same of the logo intel in your top cover .
                            best regards

You need a bios programmer to do that

                                Hello,

OK, does anyone know the right bios programmer software to make a dump of the bios?

A name would be nice, link would be better.

As I asked Google, I got a lot of software for hardware tools.

                                    ???

Du willst doch nicht sagen, der einzige Weg einen Bios Dump zu erstellen ist den Chip auszulöten?

Das muss doch auch anders gehen.

I think with old bios you mean the current bios got with a tool from machine and not one I can download at HP???

With which tool can I generate such file?
