there appears to have been quite a few problems with those power supplies. also there is a few editions and manufacturers (delta, minebea, foxlink etc).
it appears to be possible to replace with atx. heres a link

but i think more research would be needed into what version you have before following that specific procedure.
i have seen some references to bad solder joints, blown capacitors. if you can get it open and post some good pics i am sure the guys here can troubleshoot it.
find out the version info of your box and the psu version/manufacturer also.
