Got Gigabyte GA-PE667 Pro as probably dead. All components were fine, just the board. OK, I have waited for POST card to have a look whether it is completelly dead or what. Booted on first try.
Today I wanted to have a look at some memory (again fully OK, just need to have a look at some parameters). Board appears to be completelly dead. What the hell? Did you ever encountered such a behaviour?
I have the feeling CPU socket is too loosy but I tried to swap two CPUs several times, it should catch up at least one time I think…
All bigger caps are good, Rubycon and Sanyo. Only the smallest ones (100 uF) are Choyo…do you think they may be so important they make chipset look dead?
