Hi All,
Haven't posted in years, but happy to see these forums are still active! Anyway, I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display which is exhibiting a weird issue. When connected to a known-good power supply and video source (as tested with its sister display), the unit powers up and displays video, however, the backlight flashes/strobes on and off approximately twice per second. There is a small, audible noise which accompanies this activity.
I consider myself to be competent with displays and TVs, having successfully repaired many of each, this issue is something I've had a harder time tracking down. I'm thinking this sounds like an inverter issue of some sort - like something is shorting or pulling down the voltage.
I know this is an older display, but I'd love to be able to get it running again. Thanks in advance!
