    LA-8861P started but only 3.3v and 5v

    i have this board ,i have +3VALWP and +5VALWP
with power supply , green led ist ok and when press start button ,blued led lighing but led near push button dont working .
    i dont have 1.5v line
    maybe RT8207 ist defect ?

If SYSON is 0 volts, then it's too soon for RT8207 to turn on.

You said you are getting 3V and 5V, so check things that should happen after 3V/5V rails turn on, but before SYSON goes high.

Some of the important steps in the power sequence include (where low=0V and high=3V):
    - POK (from PU330) goes high
    - +VSB = 19V
    - +3VALW_PCH = 3.3V
    - PCH_RSMRST# goes high
    - CLK_EC outputs 32.768KHz (testable with multimeter frequency setting or other frequency counter tool)

    And, after pressing power button...
    - PM_SLP_S5 goes high
    - PM_SLP_S4 goes high

If all that happens and SYSON still doesn't go high, then corrupt EC firmware is a possibility. Otherwise, examine closely the first step that is failing to happen.

      thx for reply
      i am sure that +3VALW_PCH = 0V

Alright. Next, measure pins on Q5510 to find out why.

          i tried again
          - POK (from PU330) goes high (yes)
          - +VSB = 19V (yes)
          - +3VALW_PCH = 3.3V (yes) Q5510 ist active after pressing power button
          - PCH_RSMRST# goes high (yes)

          And, after pressing power button...
          - PM_SLP_S5 goes high (NO)
          - PM_SLP_S4 goes high (NO)

          whats next sequence?

Oh okay, that changes things a bit. You'll need to examine the signals related to the power button press itself.

ON/OFFBTN# (signal from power button to EC)
            --------------
            - Starts at 3V
            - Drops to ~0V while pressing power button
            - Rises back to 3V after releasing power button

PBTN_OUT# (signal from EC to PCH)
            --------------
            - Starts at 3V
            - Drops to ~0V while pressing power button
            - Rises back to 3V after releasing power button

              Yes, exactly

before pressing power button ist 0v >>after 3v and remain, after 5 second 0V

i think UCL1 ist problem ,i ordered and waiting for it
I believe that PCH dont answer correctly

If your scope has a high enough bandwidth and sample rate to measure the 25 MHz, then that could be evidence of a problem. But you should double-check the 32 KHz output since that is much lower frequency, and less likely to be affected by the capacitance of your probes.

It definitely needs that 32 KHz clock working, or you'll never get the 32 KHz on SUSCLK/CLK_EC after RSMRST# goes high.

If the clock is really missing, then that chip could be bad. Although, crystals do go bad too sometimes.

thx, also i checked CLK_EC(32KHz) , without clock
i believe that first UCL1 should make clock for PCH and after it , PCH send 32KHz to EC . is right ?

                          Yes, that is correct.

On most boards, a 32.768 KHz crystal is connected directly to the PCH. But on this board, UCL1 generates several different clock frequencies for several different chips on the board by using a single 25 MHz crystal.

There needs to be a 32.768 KHz clock signal on pin 9 of UCL1. This goes to the the PCH via PCH_RTCX1. After RSMRST# goes high, the PCH will copy that clock to its SUSCLK/CLK_EC pin for the rest of the board to use.

The other clock signals generated by ULC1 are important too, but not until later in the startup process.

i changed UCL1 but ist same
                            another idea ?
