Re: Samsung UN46ES6150F starts power cycling after 2 hours of use from a cold start
ugh so its still power cycling, AND the backlights are broken again. its just too hard to solder these back in, the way theyre set up. theres nothing stopping them from getting flexed off. dumbest design ever. the other ones are flat against a metal plate, way less chance of breaking off.
anyway i got the panel apart again and im thinking of just replacing those 2 failed LED's with a resistor to complete the circuit. what resistor do i have to use to replace 2 LED's.
if the LED's are 2.7v each i need a 5.4v drop before connecting back to the cathode return. what is the formula to figure out what resistor i need?
i feel like i should know this already but i guess i havent done it. ive replaced LED's with other LED's but never given up and just done the resistor thing.. or am i supposed to use a diode?
