    Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon password

    Hi Mates,

Is it doable to bypass or removed the power on password (Supervisor Password) by re-flashing bios for Lenovo Thinkpad 3rd gen? Someone left this unit in a cab, as per customer. The passenger didn't contact anymore.

If it is doable can someone share a dump file please? I have a Rt809 programmer.

    TIA.

On the X1 carbon gen 1 you could jumper SDA and SCL and remove the password that way.The X1 carbon gen 2 - 6 is stored in the MEC .

My Friend have a lenovo Carbon X1 3448 first gen. and he forgot BIOS password. Try to recover this but As I read from here CLA CLK shortage will clear password. BIOS Reflash will not help.

            BIOS location is not clear.

How would we jumper those? Ground them?

Jumper SDA and SCL means to connect SDA And SCL together.

You need to do it at the right time aswell because if you do it too early, laptop wont start. If you do it too late, it doesn't bypass password.
