    class action lawsuit

    Just got a postcard that I'm a member of a class action against NEC Tokin for price fixing since 2002.

    I got one too....kind of funny. The list of vendors though, i've never done business with.

      Well you know how interconnected things are today with shell corp.'s and all. We could have been buying from Mattel toy company or Purina dog food and wouldn't know it.

          Kemet agreed to buy NEC Tokin Feb. 2017

          Full page ad on page 1 of Nuts & Volts magazine this month about this lawsuit. I can see all the hobbyists trying to cash in their $2 capacitor purchase lol

          Lawyers are after the money, I don't know where to even buy these caps. This stinks of a cash grab.

            I got the same thing in the mail a couple weeks ago. I wasn't sure if they're sending them to everybody or just people who purchased capacitors from some place. The only caps I have bought so far have been from digikey, so maybe they just raided the digikey customer database and did a mass mailing.

              I got a postcard at my parents address that I haven't lived at for 13 years and ordered from DigiKey a few times there. I also got one at my current POB that I started using in 2014. So there is quite a range of dates that they are targeting.

                that means you need to start a class-action against Digikey for selling it's customer database to a 3rd party!

                  Don't think i've purchased any of those brands.
