Can I convert the head of a 250v plug to 110v?

Purchased a heating platform for repairing iPhone X models. It’s compatible with both 110/250v but they sent me the 250v plug and won’t respond to my messages to have the correct plug sent.

The plug isn’t built into it, just plugs in with special connector which is how it’s compatible with both systems. Could I simply cut the 250v head and splice in a 110v plug or simply use an adapter like this? European Adapter, Fosmon Type C EU to USA & Canada Travel Adapter Plug, 2 Prong Universal Power Converter (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072F91W38..._LSIFDbA1D8ZR4

It’s just a heater with no real electronics so not sure if current draw is different and wire could potentially get too hot

What does the heater say about the voltage range and does it have a switching power supply

    Or

Is it just a heater element with a thermostat

If it what have above and it just a heater with a thermostat then maybe or maybe not

It depends on what type of heater element it has to weather or not it will work or not

The heat up time might be longer and will it get hot enough for you to use it

These two repairs where found with a ESR meter...> Temp at 50*F then at 90*F the ESR reading more than 10%

2 Hem Saw Computer Stack Board

All of these had CAPs POOF

you can chop it, but if the device is just a heater it will take longer to heat up at 110v

I believe it's just a heater. Doesn't look like there's much to this. Just a copper plate and the plug has a little box with an on/off switch

probably a ptc based design like in hotglue guns.

So just an adapter will do? Does it self regulate temp?

PTCs self regulate -- sort of. They'll stop drawing power when they reach their temperature.

              Question is - what's in the box(es)?

Keep in mind that halving the voltage quarters the heating so you may have to wait a very long time... if it doesn't lose more heat than it generates at its temperature...

This might be where you take the cover off of the blue box and see what is inside and maybe show some pictures of what is inside

I’ll have to take it apart when I get a chance.

The specs say 110-250v and reaches 183c in 3 minutes. Curious if that 3 mins is for the 110v version or if that’s the same for any voltage

The seller finally responded and said an adapter not converter should have been included for 110v and they’re sending one. Thanks for your help guys
