    Re: asus k8s-la poly

Are those Fujitsu FPCAPs? FP for Functional Polymer or, better, Fake Polys that go mad like bad electrolytics?
I'm unsure if the board is worth a cap replacement: the bios is almost surely a stripped down Phoenix with little or no settings, the chipset is a Sis 760 with crappy integrated graphic (at least there is an AGP 4x slot), companion chips such as the Via Firewire and the Realtek PHY are low performance ones and, according to HP site, the best cpu it can recognize is an Athlon 64 3700+ for Socket 754.

i put the fpcaps in it.
it had exploded ost and lelon/ltec.
customer wanted it done so i fixed it.
yeah its a cheapassed oem board.
btw the fpcaps are quite reliable.
i have yet to see any bad that were made in the last 5 years.
same tech as other polys but a different trademark.

Sorry, I thought it was a mobo you wanted to recap.

Hmm, polymers with vents are a bit suspicious but I can trust you.
