    Asrock 4Core Dual-VSTA no power to USB,PS2

    Hey guys,

got this mobo with no power to USB or PS2 Port.

Temporary solution is a PCI to USB card.

but i am eager to find the problem as this mobo worked until 2 days ago.

i couldn't find even one fuse on this entire board!

im afraid that the windbond chip failed-(didn't check it with scope yet)

    what would you suggest?

(the image is from google for now- as no visable damage such as burnt chips or bloated caps

    get a manual first.
there will be jumpers to switch the ps2 and usb power from 5v to 5v-standby so you can power keyboards & stuff while it's turned off.

you should check these, and the surface-mount polyfuse will be near them.

lol I have this board, it's a good board, been using it for like 10+ years no problems. How do you know 5stdby or where to solder to? do you have schematics for it?
