Have this power problem. Monitor would just not come back on. No power LED at all. After letting sit for a couple of months with no power disconnected and no monitor cable connected, the monitor would power up with no problem. All the LCD CCFL's are good, but after a few days the power goes off and again no power led light. I have completely disassembled the monitor and checked the power board. Reconnected the control board, tcon board and the power board. Powered up nicely, but after running for a couple of days, turned off the monitor using the power button, came back to work from over the weekend and now will not power up. I am very familiar with the 2 seconds to black issue, but this does not sound like it.
