    Acer S57M with bad YEC caps

    This is Acer S57M board, probably made by AOpen (AOpen is part of Acer AFAIK). Looks nice except for the YEC caps...

    Bad caps around the CPU socket:

    This cap has the same specs (1500uF/6.3V) as ones around the CPU socket but it's smaller:

      They have something with YAGEO - http://www.proan.com.hk/index.htm
      I recap a lot with these caps as they're cheap and work fine. I watch one machine (Abit BE6-II with modified Tualatin CPU) that runs 24/7 with them - I wonder how long will they last.

        I see. Thank you for your information. May be it is a brand from a OEM in China, but no idea about this brand. Do you have try overclock with this brand caps?
