Acer Aspire 8530G no power up

    Hello All,

I have an Acer Aspire 8530G that has a failure.
Yesterday I left the laptop open for 2 hours and when I got back the laptop has turned off by itself.
I tried to turn it on again but the power led lit for 9 seconds, black screen and turns off again.
I started to make some checks listed below.
1)RAM, hard disk, DVD rom.. all was OK.
2)LCD inverter by disconnecting.... no result.
3)Tried to make a BIOS recover by Crisis boot of Acer but it doesn't even goes to Bios recover during start up.
4)I was suspecting graphic card since it has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 1GB and change the polymer caps, resolder GPU but still the same.
(I don't want to spend 120$ in purchasing a ney graphic card unless I am 100% sure that this is the reason.)
    5) It seems that various voltages of the mobo are correct but I didn't go to deeper detailed check since I don't have the schematics.
    6) Google didn't helped since some people had the same problem but no result yet.
Do you have any other idea?

Try to flash the bios manualy if you have the right tools, if you know what i mean..

You can ask the forum for ROM FILE if you don't have it.

I don't have the tools but I can find them if nessesary.
But I could find ready chip with the bios is I am lucky.
What is the reason that you insist so much that have a corrupted BIOS?
Have you ever faced similar case?
Do you know that this model has BIOS issues?
I ask you because a failed graphic card could possibly have the same result.
And something I didn't mentioned before.
If I hold the power button pressed while I apply the charger to the laptop then the power led is blinking but still no result.

I experienced on hp's computer maybe simiral to acer..

bios cheap is very to easy to replace or to flash, you know, before you go deeper like reballing or replacing chip.

              Thank you for your interest.
I found BIOS chip in ebay and I will definely try to change it since it is very cheap.
              Hope it works,
              I will keep updating.

ok, let me know the outcome!

Ask the seller if the bios IC has program already, so you do not need to program it!

                  Hello!
I have a similar case. My acer aspire 8530G laptop turn on but the screen is black. I've tried making a crisis disk for reflashing Bios (using Fn+Esc keys)... nothing

Have you solved it buying a chip bios alfaromeogr?

                  (Pardon my english)

I havent bought the bios chip since I have communicated with the seller and he told me that only if my failure was during an bios update can make the laptop to be dead.
For your case because you say that yours is turning on please start with the basics first (check RAM modules, Hard disk e.t.c)
Espesially RAM. I have experieced ACER laptop that only by take out and replace Ram to operate normaly.

                      Possibly a bad heatsink mount.

P.s. just in case that thermal sponge its used put copper plate so it can press the chip and have a good thermal transfer. Beware if it got for memory to
