Asrock Fatal1ty H87 - Dead after BIOS Update ? (BIOS Dump)

    Hello,

I have a 1150 Intel H87 Fatal1ty , which was working great. I made the last Update,of the BIOS and it went dead.
I tried swapping the A1, B1 BIOS (Dual Chip) and left it , to re-install the BIOS but nothing happened.
Computer stayed dead, i have CH541 Programmer, which i analyzed both chips ,and they are empty.
I tried to Program them ,with the BIOS that are online in Asrock site without any luck, the computer / motherboard doesn't even power up it remains dead.

Does anyone have the BIOS Dump , or what should i check or do ?

A computer should power up even without a BIOS chip fitted. I won't run but it will start.

Unplug everythin apart from the power lead to the PC

Remove any add on cards and USB devices

Disconnect internal hard drives and dvd etc

Try forcing the ATX power supply on. There are are plenty instructions how to do this

Do this while the ATX PSU is connected to the motherboard

It's barebone the motherboard, and plus thanks for the reply.
I know how to jump start the power supply ,and it was tested with different power supplies.
It made the BIOS Update, and then it didn't ever came back on ,even without BIOS chip ,it doesn't even spin the FAN of the CPU ,or any lights are showing.
Is there any eeprom , or any other chip , that you might think ,got "yyyyakes" from the update?

Sorry if I am trying to teach you to suck eggs here. It's hard to know what you have already tried or what your experience level is if you don't specifically say. Then I tend to start from the obvious.

So it sounds like you already did the obvious. Are you saying that the PSU will not start when conencted to the motherboard even if you jump start it with a paperclip or bit of wire?

Disconnect the 12V supply to the CPU (8 pin connector to motherboard)

        Does it power up now?

If not check the resistance to ground of all the power rails from the ATX PSU. 3.3V, 5V, 12V etc - are any reading short circuit?

Measure the voltage between the two pins that connect to the Power On button. Do you have 3.3V there?

Report back and also let us know what test equipment you have available.

You may also get more response if you post this thread in the correct section

But for now leave it here and maybe a moderator will move it there.

CH541 programmer ? ,do you mean the CH341A . Try using different software with the programmer, try ASProgrammer its a good alternative https://github.com/nofeletru/UsbAsp-...mmer_1.4.1.zip

You are right. That i didn't inform you about the obvious that i did.

No , i mean that the PSU is tested and working 100% on another computer, and i jump started to check in the first place if it was dead, but the PSU is good to go.

I will try the 12 supply CPU , and report back to you about it.

I will do also ,all the power rails and report back.

            Thanks once again.
