    Samsung 2493HM repair

A couple of days ago I bought two broken Samsung 2493HM monitors that wouldn't turn on. I risked 40€ and bought them, hoping for a quick fix. I cracked open the first one and found several burnt components and at least one destroyed soldering pad (see pictures). The underside is also strangely dirty - corrosion? Judging by the pictures, should I even attempt to repair this and where should I begin?

    Thanks,
    SainT

Small update: I pulled apart the second monitor without prior testing (stupid, I know). Visual inspection revealed no damage to the power supply and the fuses were okay. I installed the power supply in the first monitor and everything works. I should probably disassemble the monitor again and recap the psu just in case. These are known to have bad caps.

It wouldn't hurt to test the monitor from which I pulled the working power supply as well. Maybe it wasn't defective in the first place.

This still leaves me with one power supply that needs fixing.
