Hi,
I have a failing Dell power supply (from a Dell Precision T3400 desktop PC) with one confirmed (visibly bulging) bad capacitor marked 3300uF 16V LZP. All the other caps are Rubycon, this one is the only one that's not. Anyway, here's a potentially stupid question. Can I replace it with a 2200uF 16V low ESR cap? I know that in general this isn't recommended but if it's just a filtering cap, it could work? I can't provide a proper photo of the board because it's all cramped up and hard to get a good angle. If you guys think it might help, I can do my best to take some photos anyway.
Cheers,
H-S
