Have this from my dentist's office, exhibits the 2sec to black symptom. Inverter board has two "N?Con" caps. What's odd here is these caps are 56uF/25v (one is bulged). What can I get to replace these? (there's two of them)

Use a 68µf or 100µf 25v capacitor.

Yeah. Exactly that. I had two 47uF Nichis handy, so I tried those, and surprisingly, it works! Also replaced a bloated 330uF/16V Teapo near the BL connector on the main logic board. Think it'd be ok to leave the 47s in there?Comment

Out of boredom, I drug the three bad caps across my tester. The bloated 330uF teapo actually tested better than the two "NKCON" 56uF caps. Neither of the NKCONs even managed to reach 1uF on the meter (and one of them wasn't even bloated!). The teapo managed about 92uF.Comment

It's not just about the capacitance... If the caps internal resistance gets too high, the cap overheats. Chuck them in the trash."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years.
