    Samsung 24" BN44-00195A PSU Issue

Hi, recently my Samsung 2493HM failed to switch on, the blue power led keeps blinking fast and faintly. Measurements indicate that 5V Standby line is stable until the PSU gets the turn on signal, all lines become unstable at that point and begin oscillating at regular intervals, dropping voltage pretty much to zero then recovering (including the 5V standby line as well that was stable before turning the PSU fully on). All caps are fresh, nasty chloroprene glue removed everywhere, main components checked (mosfets, diodes, big cap, other caps). The voltage of the main cap is about 320V at all times.

This happens even without any load connected to the PSU.

Any wild guess about going forward? Don't wanna make a mess with the 320V hanging around...

Included a PDF schematic in attachment. Cheers!

controller chip area maybe . or a short .
see if a particular voltage drops first .
    thats my guess ..

Scratch that, the logic board is dead as well, main chipset fried. Something went horribly wrong with this one. Repair not cost effective and not worth the effort.

I consider this thread closed. Thanks for suggestion though.
