      Re: Acer one KAV60 bios needed

      on the ribbon cable on the image i have uploaded here is the readings

      pin 1 = 5v
      2= 5v
      3= 3.3v
      4= 17.42v
      5= 0v
      6= 0v
      7= 3.3v
      8= 0v

      on the first chip pin 1=0v pin2= 0v pin 3= 17.42v
      on the second chip pin1 = 0v pin2= 3.3v pin3 = 3.3v

        Re: Acer one KAV60 bios needed

        Is pin 1 of the second chip connected to the switch? If this is the case, this chip is defective or the switch is short to the ground.

            Re: Acer one KAV60 bios needed

            If pin 1 of the two chips is connected to one side of the switch to ground, the other side of the switch is connected to what?

                Re: Acer one KAV60 bios needed

                I think the best will be to replace the board with a new one.

                      Re: Acer one KAV60 bios needed

                      The switch is directly connected to pin 4 (ON / OFFBTN #) of the ribbon, so if you have nothing on the switch, the trace is open somewhere on the board. I just found the schematic of that board.

                            i checked based on the schematics there is voltage on c3,r2,r3 and c1 the wrong voltage is on pin 4 on the ribbon cable which is giving 17.42 v
