Re: Samsung 50" Plasma, No Picture or sound
PlainBill, it seems you're very knowledgeable about these things, any chance I could get your input on my problem?
I have a Samsung PN51E530A3FZXA 51" plasma TV. I heard a pop & saw smoke from left rear of TV. TV went black & had no picture or sound, however the red power light stayed on. Advised by Samsung tech rep that the power supply board probably "blew" and needs replacing. I bought a brand new power supply board, installed it (very simple), but still have no picture or sound, although the little turn on/turn off jingle has returned. A visual examination of all the other boards in the back show no obvious damage anywhere. Also, it now turns itself on for no reason. Any ideas? i'm not a skilled electronics hobbyist, but I can solder a joint and replace boards and such.
