    Sharp Aquos LC-32LE700E won't power up / 2 short red blinks

    If I turn on the Sharp LC-32LE700E the green light turns on followed by 2 short red blinks (and keeps repeating 2 short red blinks)

    I could not find any burnt brown hot spots on the circuit boards or capacitors with leaking/bulging top or seals.

    Hopefully somebody can help me to find out what the problem is / which components I have to replace.
    I'm a beginner for electronics repairs with basic gear (Fluke 12 multimeter, soldering iron and tin sucker :-)

    Let me know if more detailed photo's are needed.

    Service manual available. Look for matching led error code on page 64

      Great! Thank you for the link!

      I followed the manual by pressing <MENU> on the remote control, after that the leds make the following pattern:

      Power led (RED): ON__ON
      OPC led (GREEN): ON__ON__ON

      So if I correct understand from page 66 it means: Digital 3.3V Failure?

      How to continue from here? Any suggestions?

        Download the power supply manual and check you have REG3.3V

          I downloaded the power supply manual and found REG3.3V on the schematic drawing but I can not find on the power board...

          I will measure all the voltages of the connectors on the power board and post them asap.

          (but first I have to order thin test leads because the ones I have are not thin enough)

            I tape sewing needles securely to the end of my probes.

              The Digital 3.3 volts is supplied by ic9605 on the main board (page121), the input to the ic is from the power supplies UR +13 volts

                Looking at the back of the board.
                Is there a burnt out component in the one red box and are the solder pads shorted in the second red box.
                Probably just the picture.

                  Taping needles at the probes does the job for the moment! :-)

                  So with the black lead to the ground I measure on the connectors:

                  CN7003
                  ----------
                  1 = 0,40
                  2 = 0,40
                  3 = 0,40
                  4 = 0
                  5 = 0
                  6 = 0
                  7 = 0
                  8 = 0
                  9 = 0
                  10 = 0
                  11 = 5,06
                  12 = 0

                  When I turn on the TV: CN7003 pin 9 and 10 get 3,25 volt for a short time

                  CN7004
                  ----------
                  1 = 0
                  2 = 0
                  3 = 0
                  4 = 0

                  CN7006
                  ----------
                  1 = 0
                  2 = 0
                  3 = 0
                  4 = 0,21
                  5 = 0
                  6 = 0,20
                  7 = 0
                  8 = 0,20
                  9 = 0
                  10 = 0,23
                  11 = 0
                  12 = 0,19

                  CN7007
                  ----------
                  1 = 0
                  2 = 0,20
                  3 = 0
                  4 = 0

                  CN7008
                  ----------
                  1 = 0,15
                  2 = 0,15
                  3 = 0
                  4 = 0
                  5 = 0
                  6 = 0
                  7 = 0
                  8 = 0
                  9 = 0

                  I dont think there is a burnt out component... or is there?
                  The solder pads in the other red box are close together but seems not to be shorted,
                  I measure (multi meter in diode position) many different numbers ranging from 0,278 to 1,440 and not get the constant beep.

                  This moment there is no 13 volts on any connector, so how about this ic9605 on the main board?

                    2nd photo, 3rd pin in the set of four, looks like part of the track is missing.

                      It looks like the board has already been worked on.
                      However, from your readings the only voltage you have is BU+5V
                      If you disconnect the main board from the power supply and connect Pin 11 (BU+5V) to pin 10 (PS_On) using a 1K resistor and check if your 13V comes up.

                        Yes the board has been worked on by me and I feel quite stupid :-(shame)
                        This is the story: a few years ago I repaired for the first time in my life a tv.
                        That was a very old Medion tv with big boards inside (easy to solder). I found the problem,
                        ordered a repair-kit with some capacitors and resistors, replaced them and it worked!
                        Wow! That felt fantastic!

                        Now (a few years later) I got this Sharp tv from my parents and thought that will be easy peasy lemon squeezy.
                        So I Googled for Sharp LC-32LE700E, found the wrong document and followed the steps.
                        I thought I found the problem (and replaced KIA278R voltage regulator) but I'm afraid I made the problem only bigger...
                        Then I decided to search for help from experienced technicians and joined this forum.

                        Now I have to go to the store to buy a 1K resistor, are there more handy parts that I should have in stock?
                        I appreciate it very much that you are willing to help a newbie!

                          Some of the solder joints looks bad, might want to touch m up, check youtube for a good tutorial if needed, do Dick's test in post #11 see if you get your voltages back.
