    HP 752n imperial mobo bad 1500uf 6.3v 105c tms

    Hello, New to yopur forum. First Mobo recap. replaced caps in other items LCDs, PSUs etc. Feel kinda stupid after alot of searching still need advice on replacement. They're 8mm x 20mm I have a link to same looking placement and condition

    are right size don't know seiries or quality info. Doing this gratus for a neighbor I replaced the PSU 2yrs ago, was the perverbial Bes/worstec 250!
    He's a nube to computing and doesn't use much, but we are in Phoenix, AZ (current temp 108f)so need the best performers, Temp wise. He uses AC only during monsoon season otherwise swamp cooler or if it goes above 100f try to get hime to lower the thermostat but he says he likes the heat?
    So please advise!
    Appreciate any notes to make job easier.
    Have temp controlled iron,
    2 guns Weller 250w and 150w?, and vacume type solder sucker.
    Still using LEAD solder...... OK?

    leaded solder is ok. actually better than the RoHS leadfree BS, because it's much easier to solder with.

    would be a good substitute. size is the same. going up voltage wise doesn't usually hurt anything.

    those would also work. wouldn't go any higher than that (capacitance wise) though.

    as for samxon.. those are also good caps, but i still have a hard time comparing them to other caps (like Rubycon MBZ/MCZ) just from the series marking..

        80W temp. reg Weller soldering station (heavily (ab)used)
        35W Ersa soldering iron (nothing fancy)

        leadfree solder is still a PITA.. not even talking about the tin whiskers.. >.>

          wiskers = wrong/no flux.
          usually caused by too much heat.

            Samxon GC = MCZ. Go with the 8mm GCs or the 10v MCZ caps. Replacing a 6.3v cap with a 10V never causes problems.
            I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

            No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
