possibly shorted SC board, check across SC2 for short or check if Q661 is shorted, it's on a heatsink of 2 transistors,

you have the manuals but SC2 is the 2 pin power connector Vsus enters from the P board. Q661 is the location number of a RJP63F3A or could be F4A in the manual it will be Q16661.

In majority of cases it will be shorted if the board has failed, test it and see.

funny you should mention that, not intending to overwhelm your cranium my friend but that is exactly what i am doing!

During initial start up before the led starts the 10 count, i temporary get led on SS board, none on SC board.
should i SC remove board before i check for shorts?

TV unplugged from the wall, take your DMM and put on low ohm scale (where it beeps when you touch leads). Just measure between the 3 legs of Q661,it's located left lower quarter on a heatsink. If it measures shorted between the legs then remove the board.
Then make sure you sit down, have enough coffee and/or guinness/smokes with you, phone your family/friends that you will be AFK for awhile and to not worry. THEN read this:

yeah or do it insitu. If the onboard LED does not momentarily illuminate at all sounding shorted, somewhat logical I'd think.

Unplug SC2 and check resistance or for short and q661 willbe lower left heatsink with the TV viewed from the back right way up.

My Avatar would be indicative of this board , LOL.

or remove the board. If you turned it on with the sc removed and it changed from 10 blink, that also may indicate SC. Search TNPA5081 , should be a fair bit of historic info around. Two most common codes for bad SC for this model would be 4 & 10 blink.

ok on SC2 no movement on 200 ohm,
on Q661 get 0.14 on one leg and 15.6 on other
not that i have any idea what this means lol

neither do I. Sounds like a cheap meter not digital auto ranging.

What meter is it? Does it have a diode check or continuity check beeper or buzzer? Just probe two legs on that Q661 see if it beeps constantly. 0.14 ohms is a short But since you don't understand the meter fully makes it hard for me to say with confidence.

It doesn't have a buzzer but it does check for continuity, the display changes across all 3 legs. Which it does if I touch the 2 probes together so I assume means that there is continuity same applies to SC2

Sorry mate but yuck. Good for maybe a little tinkering on a car.

stick it on diode mode , touch the probes together and note the reading then probe the legs on that Q661, have someone take photos of the reading but I'm not going to waste too much time figuring that meter out . I find they are good at confusing everyone.

Touching the probes together reads 001
Probes on middle and lower leg reads 014
Probes on middle and upper leg reads 001
Probes on upper and lower legs reads 014
