    Weird L1955 LCD monitor CCFL

Hi, I wonder if anybody can advice on this
The monitor main problem was a flashing power LED .
I did replace the two bad 5707's the other two checked OK
The bottom CCFL SMT 4431 was completely fried and fried the trace too. I did manage to replace it to find that the small 3 leg transistor (if not mistaking) right next to it is fried too so I replaced it. the back light came back alive while the top back light stays off which was really weird !!!, If I bush the start button the top light will come on too not as bright as the bottom one. If I push the button to turn it off just the top light will go off while the bottom one stays ON. So I removed the SMT 4431 that control the bottom CCFL and run a jumper from the drain on the top CCFL to the drain on the bottom SMT 4431 as showing in the image and the monitor works just fine now – any ideas to what damage this will case ???
