If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

I'd like to track down the .xpi files for various elderly versions of firefox. I'll have to see if the .xpi's are in the user data directories on various systems where it's installed.

The good old Archive.org to the rescue:

            http://web.archive.org/web/201206082...4.21.13-fx.xpi

If you know the original url of the extension, most probably the Archive has copies of it. YMMV

That worked for that version....but I needed some other versions, along with some other things that Mozilla apparently discontinued support for. I managed to find them all.

Win2k, XP, and other older MS OS's:
              C:\Documents and Settings\someusername\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\blah.default\extensions

Win Vista, 7, 8, and all newer:
              C:\Users\someusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\blahblah.default\extensions

Some are named for what they are (s4e was), some aren't...but all end in .xpi. Copy them to your archive and name them whatever (I named them by version), and just do the manual install process through the add-on manager...and you're good to go. If you're not sure what it is, try to install it...it will tell you, then just cancel the install and rename the file accordingly.
