    Samsung LN46C630K1F

    Hi Guys

I have the above-mentioned TV. The Standby Light is on and when I try to switch on the TV the Standby Light goes out. No green light. Nothing else happens. No sound, no backlights. When switched on with the remote, you can't switch it off. When a light is shown onto the screen, I can't discern anything.

I checked CAP C1818 as per other threads, all as per spec. I also checked the voltages on the LED Inverter cable, all are as per diagram. Voltages going to Mainboard same voltages as per diagram.

If I remove the Cable between the Mainboard and Power Supply, the backlights come on and stays on.

Voltage on Main 450V Filter CAP = 374V
    Power Supply Board BN44-00341B

At this stage I'm thinking T-CON board.

    Thank you for any help
    Henry

We need the Voltage readings of all the pin of CN802, you need to put down the pin name and follow by the Voltage readings for each pin except the GND pin.
"Voltages going to Main board same voltages as per diagram" So the control Voltage are all correct?

          Re: Samsung LN46C630K1F

You are missing an entire row of signals and the pin name (should be a legend silkscreened). Thats why you should include pics of the board. You should get a PS_ON and BL_ON signal from the main board when you push the power buttton. If these signals are missing and the main board has power, the main board is likely fau!ty.

Also no pin names provided as requested: "you need to put down the pin name and follow by the Voltage readings for each pin except the GND pin."
BTW, the exposed pins you see on the top side of the boards are the ODD number pin, the EEVEN number pin you will have to probe from the bottom side of the board or from the back side of the connector.

I'm sorry about the missing information. I'm a beginner, and really appreciate your help.

              Pin 1=13.12V / Pin 2=0.0V
              Pin 3=13.12V / Pin 4=0.0V
              Pin 5=13.12V / Pin 6=3.33V
              Pin 7 to Pin 10 = 0.0V
              Pin 11= 5.1V
              Pin 12 = 0.0V
              Pin 13 and Pin 14 = 5.141V
              Pin 15 = 13.12V
              Pin 16 = 5.141V
              Pin 17 = 5.141V
              Pin 18 = 13.12V

              Thank you

I'm thinking that pin 17 should read the same as pin 15. You may have pins 17 and 18 mixed up?

You are right. Pin 17 is 13.13 V. Pin 18 is 13V as well.

Am I right in assuming that the Power board and Mainboard are working as they should.

"If I remove the Cable between the Mainboard and Power Supply, the backlights come on and stays on." It means the Power supply board and backlights are OK but main board is not sending the BL-ON (SW_INV) to turn on the inverter circuit.

                          Hi guys

I replaced the Mainboard as per previous discussion. It still doesn't work. I ordered the board from a reputable company.

The TV's Standby Light is on, when switched on it flashes for some time and then stays dead. If you press a button on the Remote, it flashes again. On the new Mainboard voltages for CN802 are as follows:

                          Pin 1 = 13.1V
                          Pin 3 = 13.1
                          Pin 5 = 13.1
                          Pin 7 = 0
                          Pin 9 = 0
                          Pin 11 = 5.06
                          Pin 13 = 5.06
                          Pin 15 = 13.1. (on Silk Screen diagram 13/18V - I Think)
                          Pin 17 = 13.1 (on Silk Screen diagram 13/18V - I Think)

                          Pin 2 = 5.06
                          Pin 4 = 5.06
                          Pin 6 = 5.06
                          Pin 8,10,12,14,16,18 = 0V

Same as before, if I remove the Cable from the Mainboard to the Power Supply and plug it in, the backlights come on and stays on.

                          Can someone please help.

Did you match the numbers on the white sticker on the replacement board? looks like they are BN94-02701, sometimes boards are dead on arrival.

The numbers are exactly the same. This board is quite scarce, could only get one. The board number is BN94-02701G. You do get other boards but with different last letter.

Check if you have 12 volts on each side of t-con fuse.

I get no voltages on either side of the fuse. I'm thinking of replacing the Power-Supply board, but all indications are that the board is working properly.

                                  Did I buy a not-working mainboard

So no voltage going to the tcon fuse and the fuse is good?

If you don't have any voltage on the t-con fuse you won't get a picture, Your power supply seems to be working ok.

The fuse is definitely working. So no voltages to the T-CON.
