You can try, there are some difference but in the past I tried this with success but I don't remember if hm75 replaced hm76 or hm76 replaced hm75

      slj8f is HM75 (only usb 2)
      slj8e is HM76 (usb 2 and 3)

Thanks jasko for replying. I'm aware of the differences as i have read the datasheet but felt like they can be changed. I think HM75 can be replaced with HM76 and not vice versa and that is exactly what i want to do. I'll try and post result in few days.

Did you succeed in that change of PCH?

No, i tried but it resulted in no display. Original was SLJ8F and i replaced with SLJ8E. later i replaced with SLJ8F and everything worked. I tried this on HP 450 with INVENTEC 6050A2493101 MB
