I very much appreciate the information. It seems most the TVs I've ran across have had bad LEDs. I figured the reason ShopJimmy wasn't selling the same ones, but a compatible one, was because the original ones had a fault. I figure 2 years is too soon for good quality LEDs to die.
I do have an old CCFL backlit tube and need to find a way to power the CCFLs. I'm going to look to see if I can figure out how to turn the inverter on, see if I can light them up. I suspect the tubes are bad, but without a way to power those CCFL tubes, I cannot be certain. I'd hate to just take a gamble. Gambles like that can be a bit pricey and right now, we need every penny we can get.
