i recieved dead macbook air a1932.. checked with usb amp meter only 5v 0.3A checked with apple configurator 2 shows DFU mode..try to revive but error 21. try to restore error 9 and now only show recovery instead of DFU in apple configurator 2.. can someone help? thanks in advanced |

Error 9 usually occurs if there is a "block" somewhere stopping it from connecting with Apple's update server. The best bet is an external recovery. (1) Download a MacOS from the internet; (2) Make a USB drive bootable; (3) add the MacOS to the bootable USB drive; (4) boot the make using the bootable drive and recover from there. All data will the lost though. I hope this helps. |

![]() what i want to know now is why it is stuck on recovery instead of dfu because the first time i connect it showed DFU in apple configurator. so now how i change the recovery to dfu mode...can someone help?

hows the esd diodes on data lines? there is a reason it was in dfu mode - you do not try to restore until you check wth is causing it. Last edited by reassor; 10-29-2021 at 11:29 AM.. Reason: adding stuff |

![]() still connected to T2 but in recovery mode, not DFU mode...before it can connect with DFU mode but after error when revive than it became stuck in recovery mode in apple configurator
