How do you determine the wattage on a particular resistor? I have a psu that has a bad 1 megaohm resistor. I don't know the wattage? Can anyone possibly help out? I would appreciate it greatly!!!!

You can usually tell by the size of the resistor.
Measure it's length & diameter, then check on the Digikey website for a similar sized resistor to find the wattage.________________________________________________

Thanks for the quick replies. I called local elec store & was told basically the same thing. (Not RS). The store has them in stock so i am headed that way.
