Tcon 80 pin ribbon cable- How To Remove

I'm working on a Sharp Aquos exhibiting blink code 2 long & 5 short.
Procedures asks to disconnect the two 80 pin ribbon cables, power on TV and note if the backlight comes on then if there is damage visible to the LCD panel.

I don't want to damage the ribbon cable so I'm asking for the correct procedure to remove the two cables. See attachment below.

Great, just flipped it up and it's good to go. Thanks for your suggestion.

Good luck, ribbon cables can be pretty delicate and must be seated flush. you will notice either tabs or a line marked, or both. To show they are seated before closing the latch. Its important especially on plasma panels to make sure they are seated or it may arch or burn them.
