Great thinks that helps now question the caps that were removed should be 16v 2200f the closest I have on hand is 16v and 2700f should I be ok with those or do I need to find the exact ones?

      Thanks,

2700uf will be fine, if anything, a little better.

What brand and series? Make sure they are low-esr.

No-name caps never good. Just use good caps from the start.

Does the southbridge get hot while the psu is plugged in? If it does, your motherboard is fried from some cheap psu with a high 5vsb.

                  2700uF is fine.

well i ran and checked the southbridge it doesn't get hot but it does get warm so i would take that as they sold me a board with a bad southbridge

its supposed to get warm, but not hot. there is a reason why southbridge coolers exist. order some caps and give it a shot.
