95 Jeep Wrangler computer w/bad caps

jeep quit on the road and had to have it towed. Computer went down. Priced a new one for $600 and a repaired one of $300. Opened it up and found leaking caps. replaced them for $6 and on the road again.

That is the most awsome story!
    Did you take some pics?

If not what where the original caps?

iirc one of topcat's (the forum's owner and admin) z cars had the same problem.

95 sounds a bit old for the plague though... was it the original computer?

        Welcome, Reddogg!

What was the manufacturer and series of electrolytic capacitors used as replacements?
And did the vehicle computer ever get flodded?
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
