Vizio m550sv dead hdmi port

Have a Vizio m550sv that was victim of a power surge. Tv worked but did not display any picture through any HDMI ports. Found HDMI ic chip to be very hot to touch. Replaced the IC and have HDMI 1,2,4 working great but 3 displays no signal. I've reflowed the chip numerous times to no avail. Traced the hdmi port to the chip for shorts all is good. Can the board trace internals be fried and not visibly show it on outside?

The only real way to be sure is to use an oscilloscope to trace the signal. If there are components before the hdmi chip then one of them could be at fault. It could be the HDMI switcher IC, again if there is one in circuit or it could be that the actual video processor has a blown input.
