Apple A1418 All-In-One Computer, faulty screen?

Hi guys, first let me say I am no expert on Apple computers - in fact I never looked at one before

I also hope this is the correct forum section, as this is not a laptop or portable device

I thought this one must have a faulty screen panel, but the customer thinks that can not be the case.

He says it was working then suddenly crashed and would not restart.

He rebooted the computer using a USB stick (recovery software? I have no idea with Apples)

The USB did whatever it should and the PC then booted back up but it is missing a part of the image on the right of screen

Can someone please advise me what could cause this, and if the screen did fail why would it cause the PC to crash and corrupt the OS at the same time?

    See pics

    Cheers
    Rich

I don't think so piernov - I tend to believe this customer that it failed exactly like he said

I haven't tried opening it in fact I'm not sure how it opens, though I didn't actually look to see
