    Dead digihome tv

Hi all. I have a problem with a digihome TV and wantvto fix it model:49278fhddled. Under the panel there is also another model number VES49undl-2D-N02. My problem is the set seems dead with no picture, sound or standby light.
The power supply board has been replaced vestel 17ips71 but still same issues as above.
The power cord cable and fuse are ok and there is power getting to the board.
Im just learning electronics so be easy on me lol
If the power board is ok could the main av board be at fault pn 17mb82s 23289383 and cause the no power symptom?
    Thanks jay

sounds like could be a firmware issue if you do get a replacement mainboard make sure it matches the lcd panel used in your tv. Have a search on this forum and youtube look for 17mb2s core update.

No it should be fine have a look on ebay etc post the links and we could confirm if it looks the correct board, have you tested your new power supply we have seen instances replacement boards are faulty too.

I have only gone as far as inspecting the board for bad caps, loose components or damage. The board is receiving power as I can hear a dim buzz from the transformer.
As far as testing goes what should I be looking out for?

have you got a multi meter if so we can find the schematics and get you to check some voltages

tv plugged in and turned on multi meter set on dc volts black probe on metal tv chassis can you check the voltages on all these pins thanks and please be careful as dealing with mains voltage on the hot side of the psu (you are only testing low voltages though doing these tests)

Thanks, my guess the psu will be ok and it is a mainboard at fault.

Ok The confusing part is matching the diagram up ro the connector and the board has no marks to say which pin is which. I can only assume that cn3 diagram matches the 20 pin holes on the board cn3. Am I right reading this diagram refers to looking at the back of the board? Pin 20 top left pin and bottom left pin 2.

Ok I've tested the pins with the board off the tv with no av board connected and mains powered.
These are the pins with voltage
                              Pin 7 2 or 3 v
                              Pin11 11or 12v
                              Pin 12 11 or 12v
                              Pin 13 11 or 12v
                              Pin 14 11 or 12v

usually looking from top of board what i do is too put the red probe tip down the side of each of wire im testing the voltage on going into the connector block, the probe will touch a metal connector on the end of the wire and allow a reading to be taken, Their are also few revisions of the schematics for that psu board number, can you upload a picture of your psu used in your tv thanks.

side mounted connectors are always a pain too test, maybe easier too test voltages on mainboard end? the bottom center white connector where does that go too? can you post a picture of the back of the tv with all the boards connected together
