dell n5110 no charger detect

Hi i have a dell n5110 laptop.
it was dead as it was water damage.
i cleaned all the corrosion and replace one of the p channel mosfet.
its now working but charger is not detecting

I had replaced the charger but same problem.
also re soldered all the charger point.

i had search the net but there is no schematic for power board

What do you mean charger is not detecting???
Does it work on battery only???
Did you check charging circuit???

hi there i had checked center pin there is 2.8v when i connect the charger.

laptop works on charger and battery too but not detecting charger

I don't understand you...
How could it start up when charger is not detected?
You mean it works on battery only...
If you're reading 2.8V on DC jack, you have a short on it, or short somewhere on charging circuit...

Didn't read it properly...
Did you try to measure DC jack on power board disconnected from mobo?

and bios shows no charger connected

-It works on charger (without battery connected-only charger)
-It works on battery (without charger connected-only battery)
-& it also works when plugged in battery & charger, but it's not charging the battery

i have to ask because i have a universal charger that i use for all notebooks adn that one does not charge the dell battery`s only the original one with a good power like over 90W; mine its 135W

i had checked it.
there is 19.5v
and center pin sows nothing.

while connected to mobo it shows 2.8v

i use dell orignal adapter and checked on other dell laptop charger is fine

Could you measure voltages on all pins @ PU4002 & PQ4001???

Yes, but he says it works on charger, without battery plugged in, so reckon it's getting 19V...

pq4001 pin 1 ground, pin 2 3.3v, pin 3 19v, pin 4and 5 no current and pin 6 ground
