    Good catch.
Looking at the board, though, most of these 820 uF KZGs are probably on a linearly regulated rail, so the ESR shouldn't be a problem. It's the ones around the CPU and also ones near coils that might be on a buck regulated rail (i.e. ones that need to be very low ESR). But even those ZLHs will be many times better than the busted KZG caps.

How about these then? These are what are on the board now.

        No.
Do NOT ever use KZG as replacement caps.
As mentioned on the previous page, KZG and KZJ are known to have problems. What do you think, they failed on your board because they got too old? - Not a chance. KZG and KZJ have had this problem for *years*. They are unstable. Almost half of the dead caps in my junk bin are KZG. Probably only CapXon and GSC/Evercon/Sacon FZ/Elcon/Samcon can beat them in terms of being worse - and that's what the rest is pretty much in my junk bin.

So should I spend more money on the caps than the board is worth? Can you link me to or tell me the exact specifications/ brand/ make/ model/ engineering degree of excellence/ superiority of the best caps on Planet Earth of 6.3v 820uf?

I'd much rather hear the solution rather than just pointing out a problem you see.

Hey, woah, don't take it like that .

I actually did provide links in the other thread for the IPIBL-LB and linked that thread here, but I guess you didn't bother looking at it??
Anyways, I am posting them again now and then some more...

16V 1000uF KZG replacements (pick one):
            https://www.badcaps.net/store/produc...products_id=45

            http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...PD6-ND/2428126

Shipping from Digikey will be more or less the same as Badcaps.net - around $6. There is also Mouser.com. I'll provide links for that a bit later. Prices will be more or less the same.

            ^ Likely fakes. And overpriced.
Ah, more problem-pointing from me, sorry

You posted previously that the motherboard only cost you about $5. That is good price. Why not just buy the needed caps from badcaps.net/store and have some fun and a bit of practice installing good caps? Of coarse you are free to buy them at any place you want.

                @momaka

I paid about $13 shipped for the board, as it it was said to be bad for parts. Yeah I'll buy the appropriate parts for it and will look into badcaps.net. It appears at roughly $0.46 a cap x 10 = $4.6 + $6 = $10.60 isn't bad.

Thanks. I'm posting a new thread on another board I'm working on if you can pitch in that would be great.
