    xps m1730 mainboard fix?

    hello, anybody got any experience with these mainboards , i got one thats completely dead,would like to fix, i know they have alot of gpu problems.has gpu 8700 sli

    That's the Bumpgate defect. You will probably have to replace both GPUs. If you aren't good with BGA soldering, then you won't be able to do it.

    No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

        Yes, although you'd want to be sure that the new GPUs are dated 2010 or newer, otherwise, they will have the same defect and will also fail sooner or later.
