Toshiba 32AV933G stuck on stby

Hello, I have this TOSHIBA 32AV933G and it is stuck on standby LED (red). It doesn't turn on and the 12V is missing. Anyone has any experience with these PSUs and what to check? (DPS-140SP A)

Maybe the firmware has crashed.

Nope, 0,0V at PS_ON. Any other idea?

What is your motherboard number and panel number?

I just injected 3,3V with my bench PSU to PS_ON and 12V and 24V appeared, so my PSU is OK. The problem is the main board?

I just removed it, programmed it then resoldered it back to the main board, still the same unfortunately.

Check all the voltages on the motherboard inductors, maybe there is no voltage or the voltage on them is too low.

Check your power on and ir for voltage and change when you press buttons. Try heating up main chip and see if it comes on, BGA problem. 3.3v on pin8 of eeprom. 1.2v for processor core. Voltage at oscillator.

Did you check the solder joints on the powersupply?

I see voltage change when I press buttons on the remote and there are 3,3V on pin 8 of eeprom.

PSU was checked for cold solder joints, nothing suspicious.

nomoresonys Badcaps Veteran Join Date: Jan 2013 City & State: midwest My Country: U.S. I'm a: Knowledge Seeker Posts: 7,702	Re: Toshiba 32AV933G stuck on stby Did you check the solder joints on the powersupply? __________________ (Signature) One of the first and least expensive things you can do when you have an issue is take the powerboard out of the tv, flip it over and look the solder joints over with a magnifying glass if needed, add a little flux to make the solder flow well and add solder to any joints that look even a little suspect. You can practice on a scrap pcb board if needed, careful not to bridge any joints, and always let the board sit for quite a while or discharge the big caps with an appropriate resister before working on it (safety first) to try to keep from getting shocked, it doesn't take 1000 volts to KILL, a lot less can kill, so be careful, it's only a tv.
