    Baldwin Piano ccfl display

I have a baldwin Electric grand piano the display is not working.
    http://www.shema.ru/cd/us/2/data/ps2500.pdf
The DC/AC convertor board had the fuse, C2 , q1 and q2 were burnt. I replaced them and still no light.

Would there be an easy way to test the ccfl to see if it is ok?replacements are a $100plus.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Whats the voltage on CN6, Page 10 of the manual lists +12v but also has +5v on pin 1? Do you have a scope?

It'll be a few days before I can get back to it. But when i do I want to be able to test the ccfl.

Here is the datasheet on the screen

I'm thinking I could use a laptop invertor board just to test the CCFL would that be correct?

      Thanks,

That should work just don't leave it connected too long as the laptop ccfl voltage may be a lot higher.
or use another ccfl and connect it to the supply

All I need to do is make sure it will light up, if it doesn't then it's bad and needs replacement

Looks like a new ccfl is under $10.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-7-LCD-Dis...-/122039418983

Never tore one apart, guess I will see how hard it is on an old laptop screen when I get the invertor out.

              Thanks for the link,

Laptop LCD invertor can that be used to test a ccfl?
It is from a Dell Latitude d610.

                Thanks,

It should be able to, post a picture. I have a small LS380 inverter that drives a 5" ccfl and I used it to light a 32" ccfl, It was'nt very bright but it worked.
