I am not even sure who actually makes the damn thing. It is 17", with sound and USB built into the base. Black with silver plastic frame.
Anyway, good signal for roughly 5 seconds then off with power light still green.
The power inverter has one United ChemiCon cap, can't remember the specs but since the power light still shows green, I don't think the problem is there.
The signal inverter is a different story. Two Lelon 470uf 16V, and 2 Lelon 1000uf 16V. They are not bulging are leaking but they are wonderful mint julip barf green Lelon, so I strongly suspect them to be the cause. Only other thing noticable is some solder rosin seep on a few areas of the board but no thing looks loose or dry.
I was planning on using Panasonic FM for the 1000uf 16V and Nippon ChemiCon KZJ for the 470uf 16V. Those are closest in size to the junk caps.
Any thoughts or recommendations on the diagnosis or on the choices for replacement caps?
Many thanks for all the help from you folks.
Bill
