Sony Bravia KDL-32BX400 Solid Green Power Light, nothing else!

    Hi everyone!
Could really use some of your knowledge with some pointers to where i should start looking at.

So, as soon as i plug the mains, i get the green power light. no blinks no nothing. solid green. trying to put it in stand by is a no go... completely unresponsive, both in button panel as in remote.

Seeing im very new to this, could some one try and help me fix the darn thing?

Thanks a lot. Didnt find any schematics for it.

Can you give the names of each pin of the connector and the voltage you read alongside it.

Try a power refresh and see if that works.

Turn off the power at the power outlet and disconnect the TV power cable from the outlet.
Press and hold the TV Power button for 30 seconds and then release.
Reconnect the TV power cable to the power outlet and switch on the outlet.

Try to turn on the TV and see what happens.

It looks like your mainboard is not sending the Backlight On/Off or Tcon On/Off signal so initially I would say the mainboard is looking like the culprit especially since it also does not respond to the remote.

The power reset was a no go.. The tv was sitting for a week by the customers front door before they brought it to me...

Anyways... First thing i did was pop off the power supply, remove and reset all mosfets with fresh solder, as well as the hi power capacitor. Result, no dice.

One thing was troubling me... when measuring the input fuse on the tcon board, the voltage was always near 0... but if i wiggled the connector it would vary a bit... never to 12, but up and down, so power down the set again, and reflowed both the tcon connector aswell as the motherboard connector. Result? a working tv...

So thanks everyone for the help, and see you next challenge!
