DELL N5010 discrete to uma conversion

    hello!
i'm kinda new to this and i found this picture/tutorial, can anyone give some simple instructions since there are some yellow squares that don't say what must be added and i didn't understand "remove green shild of pcb and connect to near capacitor pin"
if someone could spare me some time to explain things it would be much appreciated.
    thanks in advance

Re: DELL N5010 discrete to uma conversion

    This is very well explained

    Follow a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,I,j.

    A is first step

It is asking to remove and add some resistor and a crystal and remove a ic etc

Find schematic and you will find same written in schematic with blue colour UMA

A few extra added here rest is same as schematic

There's many video in youtube about this classic conversion that can help you .
But before this be sure that the problem is a graphic

thank you all for your answers, some letters can be found twice so if for example there's A with red and A with yellow that means i should take that component from red and move it to yellow respecting the same
letter? am i understanding this right? and how about that "remove green shield...." sentence what should be done there? ( in simple terms please) and thank you

Re: DELL N5010 discrete to uma conversion

          Yes yellow is addition
          Yes red is to remove

I think Green shild is light green lines which connect components

Do we need uma bios for this new conversion?

I did this way to motherboard but now when I plugged the adapter, mobo draws 0.15 amps and 3v-5v chip gets hot. What should I do? I already changed it.

                            check resistance on VREG3/Vreg5

                              Vreg 5 is 186 kohms

Before doing uma conversion, Mobo was woking fine. Just gpu was dead and coming 8 beeps. I decided to do Uma but now Mobo not coming on. No start, power PU 4601 gets hot I dont Know why...

I changed nuvoton chip. When I disassembly the nuvoton, short was gone. But I soldered new chip, results same. Still shorting somewhere

Try to identify the short area..after you can proceed to solve it

I identified the short area. İn the picture, caps around chip shorting. I removed chip but short not gone. What is the meaning of this situation?
