    Samsung UE46B6000VW

Hi all looking for some help on the above set i'm trying to repair.

Tv powers on and has sound but no video or OSD, just a white glow from the backlight.

    Had a look around >

Checked fuse on Tcon all fine here.
    Checked all cables
Gave the PSU a good Visual.

    Thanks in advance

Can you see a picture/ menus if you shine a flashlight at the screen?

Vdd, Von, Voff, Vcom, Vgl and Vgh are voltages to start with.

I've had a look at the silkscreen on the board but can seem to see the TP's you are referring too.

Hmmm...I seem to not be able to find them too. They may be on the panel Bds that the FFCs go to. However, your problem is either T-CON or Panel. With my experience I would tend towards T-CON as these T-CON Bds. are noted for failure.

                        Re: Samsung UE46B6000VW

It lacks of the Avdd signal, Check in diode mode across C_DP1 and its anode to ground. Check this point two again after disconnecting one at a time of the tcon output cables.

Thanks Davi.p, i will check these are let you know the results.

when in diode mode you have to check between the indicated points in one way and reverse..

Do I need to have the set powered on or take these measurements with set off?

Cheers vince, just going to post findings now.

                                  So here's what I got -

TV off and both tcon outputs plugged in.

Red probe on Anode - Black on Cathode = 0.177v
Black probe Anode - Red Probe Cathode = O/C

BP Chassis RP Anode of C_DP1 = 1.43v
BP Chassis RP Cathode of C_DP1 = O/C

RP Chassis GND - RP Anode of C_DP1 = 0.54v
RP Chassis GND - BP Cathode of C_DP1 = 0.65v

RP Chassis GND BP (Test Point 2) = 0.65v - Same value measured with 1 tcon output ribbon at a time.

Hopefully I've took the readings correctly.

Not all well, i told to test point 2 again in VOLT...
For the test on the DP1 anode to the GND it seems OK, maybe there is not a a signal to the near TPS65161 that enables AVDD. In the image under i have squared two test zones, one you can test if C_RP41 is connected to C_CP11 near it, then if you can test in volt RP21 and RP41 respect to GND.

:-P ... As a hobbyist repairer you have to get some lessons... all voltage testing are made obviously with AC plug in and tv on.
