    eBay impulse buy for a S754 processor

    Although BrandX, it looks well constructed, all Rubycon caps

    Wronggg !!!

    Their sleeves may be purple and gold, but the caps are actually branded Kingcon

    And a "New" board came with a dead CMOS battery

    The board probably is new. It's just that the battery is past its shelf life. If it works otherwise, then recap it and replace the battery and you should be good to go.
    I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

    No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
