    How to easily remove silicon from board/components?

    Hello. I want to try to repair some laptop chargers but it have silicon on board and smd components. So , how to easily remove this silicone?

    I peel it off, or use dull flat-blade tweezers to scrape and tear off pieces.
    It's very difficult because hitting an SMT part and it gets broken.
    It depends on how hard and how good the stuff is sticking to the PCB.

      small flat ended screwdriver works for me.

        but i dont want to use scraping or tearing. i dont want to damage smd components. is there any other method?

          No chemical or heating methods I know of, if that's what you're implying.

          Just scrape carefully with a small *sharp* screwdriver, and it should be fine.

            acetone might help a little bit . or some gentle heat should soften it .

              silicone rubber is resistant to just about anything - that;s why it's used for washers and o-rings.
